Well Grounded

Well Grounded is an award-winning social enterprise, launched in 2016 to support the UK’s unemployed with the skills to access sustainable careers in coffee. We create social change by partnering with the coffee industry to provide opportunities for skilled, passionate and committed individuals to grow.

Our Vision: a society where people are thriving socially and economically in a diverse, dynamic and nurturing coffee community.

Our programmes empower individuals with the skills to thrive in life, covering technical coffee and hospitality qualifications, employability skills and access to sustainable job opportunities. Our Graduate Programme offers further development to help individuals progress in their careers. To date, we have supported over 450 people through our employability programmes, with 404 gaining industry-specific qualifications. 303 have progressed in work, further education or training and 81% of our Graduates sustaining employment for 6+ months. We partner with over 140 speciality coffee employers including independent coffee shops, speciality coffee chains to national contract caterers.
